What will I do?
The Theory: You will complete the 5 chapters of the PADI Open Water Manual and watch the corresponding videos.
The Diving: You will complete 5 confined water training sessions and 4 open water dives.
If you are already a PADI Scuba Diver you only need to complete knowledge development 4 and 5, confined water sessions 4 and 5 and 2 more Open Water dives to earn the certification (2 days).
How many people will be on my course?
We teach our courses with a maximum of 4 students per instructor! That’s right! No large class sizes here. We believe small class sizes for more personal tuition makes you a better diver.

How long does it take?
We teach the PADI Open Water Course over a four day period. Only in special circumstances will we finish the course in three. We believe that diving instruction should be clear and comprehensive and that pushing a diving programme through quickly often results in an inferior course. If you wish to complete the course in 3 days then please contact us to discuss. We may agree to do so if there is good reason to do so, eg prior diving knowledge, self-study or low class size. However, please do not be offended if we ask you to undertake the full 4 days.

What do I need to start?
We have taught the Open Water course to children from the age of 10 to adults in their 60’s. Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can give it a go. Please view the medical statement and contact us if you answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions. You must be minimum 15 years old to get the Open Water Diver certification. If you are 10 to 14 years old you can receive the Junior Open Water Diver certification. For children of 8 and 9 years of age please have a look at the Bubblemaker programme.
When do your courses run?
We start PADI Open Water Courses very regularly. Please contact us to make a booking. This is particularly advisable during peak season.
